Doorknob Installation - Super Easy steps

A doorknob bought from Unitop or Kaking is as good as  a doorknob from TrueValue or AceHarware only and only if you know how to install it.

Got one from TrueValue - Gaisano Grandmall for only 2 for 249.  and here is how to install one like a pro:)


Install the Latch Assembly first.

Install the Exterior knob first but take a look at the first picture just to give you an idea how the 2 attaches with one another.

Screw on the mounting place to the interion knob.

Install the rose or the plate that covers the mounting plate, see to it this gap aligns to the notch

Then install the Interior knob and that's it! Have a great day :)

DIY - Grease Nipple installation

Considering that  I have an old bike, I always try to research about ways as to how to prolong its life. One time when I was cleaning the bike I discovered that there was this grease nipple on the axle part of the swing-arm. I tried researching about it and found out its use. That didn't stop me there, I also found out that this can also be applied to the head tube.

I then tried it on my bike and here is how I did it! We only need the following:

Drill bit 5mm - a better version found in Amazon. 2 in 1 drill bit and handtap

handtaps 6mm

grease nipple 6mm

Here are the steps.

First I located a part on the head tube that I can access easily. I then drilled a hole using the smallest drill bit that I have. Then I used the 5mm drill bit in preparation for the hand tap.

Then I used the hand taps. If you notice the 3 hand taps that I have doesn't have the same threads. Since we want to somehow make the nipple self locking as possible we will use the hand tap that doesn't have a uniform threads. I hope you understand what I mean.



When using the taps, make sure that you lubricate when drilling. And of course we turn it clockwise. Take note that in-order to achieve a nice thread, as much as possible align the taps 90' i reference to the point of entry. Its a good idea too to use some sort of lubrication when thread ie. WD40 or the old trusy singer oil.

Now after threading has completed then we slowly take the tap out by turning it the opposite direction. Then we install the grease nipple.

After which, I then headed to the nearest gas station to get some grease pumped into the grease nipple.



2-3 pumps will do. Just check until grease would come-out from the top and bottom part of your bikes head tube.

Project Cost:

Grease - 10php x 3 pumps

grease nipple - 10 php ! PYEZA

A tip before going to the hardware! You have to make sure that you plot the cuttings that you need. But this doesn't apply if you only need a smaller cutting. Its because they base their computation to a minimum cut of 1ftx4ft.. just do the math:)

You can go to the work area to give the cutter your sizes. In here the cutter is preparing the jig to get 1ftx4ft plywood cuttings:)

DIY: Changing the lower arm assembly of your Suzuki Multicab

These pictures should be easy to follow. Then again, when buying the lower arm assembly, bring a sample to avoid getting the other version. When doing this procedure, always make sure to practice "SAFETY". Use good jacks and as a precautionary measure use your spare tire and put it under just incase the jack fails:(

Good Day to all reader.. this site is solely created to help others get things done when you are in Cebu. I will be blogging based on some things that I will be facing or things that I find other daddy's should know.
